Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, It's Cross the Pond We Go...

Hello Blogophiles!

I have just completed our third house exchange arrangement. Tony and Francois of Reading (like the colour) will be allowing us to stay in their house July 6-July 23, 2009. This will be followed by the Potts, who have agreed to brave the rigors of late July-early August on the river while we occupy their home in Chichester. From Chichester, we will be headed to the east coast of Ireland-just south of Dublin for August 6- 27th.

I am hoping we can cross the pond before the 4th of July weekend, and have a few days in London before heading to Reading.

I am working my way through a small stack of British history books in preperation. I have also found a few ancestors leads-a castle here, a title there. I'll keep working on the ancestry and see if I can find anyone in the National Portrait Gallery.

Anyone having recommendations for places to stay in London or books to help orient us is welcome to pass them on.
