Nautical Archelogy

Things found, things presereved. There was one tank-the one with the bones in it-that had fish. They (possibly like Rotte) are employees of the Museum. They clean the tank. They also get fish food.

Things have to stay in water to be preserved. Sometimes solutions of various chemicals are added to preserve the artifacts.

Marcia says that these are relatively new bones compared with the ones she found and shared with the UF museum. Her's were 13-16 thousand and these are only 4-6 thousand years old.
