Viking helmets came in with the Bronze Age.
But who knew the flip hairdo was "in" as well???
This "justification" was hinted at in my Lonely Planet guide. I'm thinking that if the English were polled the Vikings would have found that they would just as soon have built their own cities and towns without the rape and pillaging, thank you very much.
